The Network Administrator Assistant is responsible for supporting IT strategies to maintain secure, efficient, and effective hardware, networks, and software systems. The Network Administrator Assistant assists in the maintenance and troubleshooting of the Agency’s Information Systems, website management, and related technological operations systems.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience: An Associate's degree from a recognized college or university related in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or closely related field is preferred. Three years experience with demonstrated skills in the administration and management of a network system. An Associate's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or closely related field may be substituted for two years experience. Preference given if accreditation as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.

Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of networks, mainframe and PC computer systems, including familiarity with integrated software packages, cloud-based computing, system security and confidentiality requirements; Application of hardware, software and telecommunication techniques, including remote/modem communications; Operating principles, installation, troubleshooting and minor maintenance of network hardware, servers, terminals, personal computers, multiplexers, modems, and related computer peripherals and communication devices; ability to work with minimal supervision; good communications skills both verbally and written; excellent organizational skills; flexibility. Overnight travel is required throughout the Regional Center’s four-county area on a regular basis. This position requires reliable transportation, possession of a valid driver’s license, minimum insurance requirements prescribed by law or ability to provide for independent transportation. Background check will be required prior to employment.
