Life’s Too Short for a Job You Don’t Love

Most of us spend a lot of time at work, so although competitive wages and benefits are nice, they should not be the only reason you accept a new position. (But don’t worry, we have those, too!)

At MCOE, we’re looking for employees who are excited to help us provide educational leadership, resources, and services to schools to ensure wide-ranging educational opportunities for all students.

We embrace a growth mindset; we value innovation and welcome ideas from all levels of the organization. (Plus, we really like to have fun.)

We’re looking for employees who embody our organizational values:  Service,  Expertise, Innovation, and Teamwork. We employ a wide variety of jobs in both certificated and classified positions in the inland and coastal areas of Mendocino County.

Let’s Hear it for Clean Air and No Traffic
Mendocino County is located about two hours north of the San Francisco Bay Area. It offers a spectacular coastline, a million-acre national forest, rolling hills, lush vineyards, small lakes, and several small, rural communities, the largest of which are in the three city centers: Ukiah, Willits, and Fort Bragg.

If you’re looking for big-city hustle and bustle, we can’t help you. On the other hand, if you’re tired of traffic and would appreciate a beautiful, natural environment where you can enjoy hiking, cycling, kayaking, water skiing, and fishing, we just might have what you’re looking for.

Our Communities are Just the Right Size
We have plenty to do and all the amenities that make any community a great place to live. We have a thriving arts culture with community theaters, a local symphony, and fine artists of all descriptions. We have farmers’ markets full of fresh produce and handmade crafts. We have yoga studios, hunting lodges, and everything in between.

We have state-of-the-art healthcare with a brand new hospital in Willits and a newly expanded and remodeled hospital in Ukiah. We have several options for K-12 education and a top-notch community college with a 127-acre campus north of Ukiah and several satellite campuses countywide. If you’re raising a family, your children can play a variety of sports, participate in 4-H and FFA, and/or learn an array of creative skills at SPACE, the School for Performing Arts and Cultural Education.
