The mission of the District is to provide safe and reliable operation, maintenance and enhancement of the Golden Gate Bridge and to provide transportation services, as resources allow, for customers within the U.S. Highway 101 Golden Gate Corridor. Based in San Francisco, the District consists of three operating divisions including Bridge, Bus, and Ferry, and an Administrative division. The District offers a variety of career opportunities to consider, including transit operations and maintenance for Bus and Ferry Divisions, professional and clerical, as well as, skilled labor and crafts positions. The District employs about 800 regular full-time, part-time, and temporary employees. The District values our employees and customers who come from many diverse backgrounds.
