The ideal candidate for this position is:
- Highly experienced at using independent judgment to select and apply specific laws, ordinances, regulations, procedures, and alternatives to different work situations
- Flexible, patient, and has excellent customer service skills

- Effective at training and mentoring coworkers
- Skilled in using Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, CLETS, UNIX, Criminal.Net, Cal Photo
All Sheriff's Senior Legal Processor's perform highly specialized, complex work related to the filing, processing, and issuance of a variety of legal documents, including court orders, warrants, petitions, and points and authorities. They enforce standard policy and procedures; input and maintain large amounts of diverse data within numerous computer programs; and assist the public, in person and by phone, by providing information and answering questions regarding the status of warrants, cases, inmates, and department procedures and operations. In addition, they handle the disposition of records to attorneys, law enforcement officials, and the general public.
