Join the County of Sonoma as a Senior Office Assistant (SOA)
As an SOA, you will be assigned a variety of administrative support responsibilities that are complex or have a high consequence of error. When accepting, filing, and maintaining records and documents, you will work to ensure that they are processed within State and Federal regulations and department guidelines. Additionally, you will provide exceptional customer service support and:
- Be the first point of contact for the public and other agencies
- Respond to inquiries by phone, in person, and through written electronic communication
- Create documents, and review and edit presentations
- Train, orient, and lead junior staff
This recruitment is currently being conducted to fill:
- One position with Zero Waste, a division of Sonoma County Public Infrastructure Department, formally the departments of General Services and Transportation and Public Works
- Two positions, one monolingual (English) Economic Assistance position and one fluent bilingual (English/Spanish) Employment & Training position in the Human Services Department (HSD)
- Three positions, one monolingual (English) Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) position, one fluent bilingual (English/Spanish) Driving Under the Influence (DUI) program position, and one monolingual (English) Homelessness Services position in the Department of Health Service (DHS)

Minimum Qualifications
License: Possession of a valid driver's license at the appropriate level including special endorsements, as required by the State of California, may be required depending upon assignment to perform the essential job functions of the position.
